And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

What is Missions?

Sharing Salvation, Building Believers. This is the motto we have here at ECGrace, and it succinctly sums up the Great Commission that Christ has given His church. We are ambassadors for Jesus, making disciples in our little corners of the world. But Jesus made it clear that the church is not to be satisfied with its little corner in the world, but that we are to make disciples of all nations, or as Jesus said in Acts, “In Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This Great Commission is an impossible task for the church to accomplish on its own. Fortunately, Jesus has said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the earth.”  And that is not all; we are told that we have the Holy Spirit in us that Jesus refers to in Acts 1:8.  If the Almighty is in us and with us, then the impossible becomes possible through Him.

At ECGrace, we seek to take part in the Great Commission in multiple ways: through our individual lives living as lights in this world, through our Grace Outreach and Grace to Humanity ministries, and through the other missionary works we support.

Local Missions

In seeking to fulfill the Great Commission, ECGrace is happy to partner with both New Song Mission and Trinity Life Ministries.

New Song Mission is an educational and residential children's home campus that serves vulnerable children from all around our state. New Song is the only children's home of its kind in Indiana which offers kids a safe and stable home for as long as they need our help, doing so in a nurturing campus community.

Trinity Life Ministries is a Christ-centered, biblically-based, non-profit organization providing a 12-month residential life-transforming service to men 18 years of age and older. In addition to the men's residential program, Trinity Life offers a weekly family ministry where they work with children, wives, parents, and other family members of those in their care.

Foreign Missions

We want to introduce you to a new tool that gives insight into the nations we are striving to reach with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our foreign missions. The vast majority of missions resources go to people and places already Reached by the Gospel. In contrast, only 3% of missionaries and 1% of missions money are deployed among the Unreached. As a result, there are more people without access to the Gospel today than a decade ago.

Stratus seeks to equip the global church with fresh vision to accomplish the Great Commission by addressing some of the factors that perpetuate the Great Imbalance.

While we at ECGrace did not develop this tool, we are grateful for it and believe it is important to reach both those in this Great Imbalance as well as the rest of the world. Please click on the stratus logo and check out this tool and where the nations we reach out to fit in this picture.

As you do, we believe that you will be encouraged to see that the missionaries we support are in this Great Imbalance.
