Thus far in Haggai, we have seen the importance of considering our ways before the Lord, as well as the importance of responding well to the Lord. The next logical progression is to ask a question such as: “What happens when I am at work for the Lord and discouragement and disappointment set in?” As we will see in Haggai’s time, the people faced a very similar situation. Join us as we see how God responds to this with a call and an assurance. Truly, when it comes to the work of the Lord, being courageous is the only way to be.

Haggai Consider This...

At the beginning of Haggai, the Lord asks the people twice to consider their ways. What prompted this? What does this even mean? How does the situation found in Haggai practically impact us today? We will explore all of these questions as we open the book of Haggai, and we will see that what the people were doing (and weren’t doing) should give us caution today as we, too, consider our ways before the Lord and what He has called us to do.
